Jamison Uselding – The Edge Dance Studio

From Early Training to Professional Performance

Jamison Uselding

Jamison began dancing at age 3 with Amarillo Little Theatre and, shortly thereafter, Lonestar Ballet Academy. At Lonestar, she developed her passion for dance through training in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, ballroom, contemporary, and hip hop. Through numerous performance opportunities and private training with Lauren Newman, she continued to grow as a dancer. She was also accepted into summer programs with American Ballet Theatre, Oklahoma City Ballet, and Boston Ballet.

Academic and Artistic Growth

Jamison earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from West Texas A&M University in 2024. During her time there, she worked alongside her peers and university faculty, as well as notable guest artists including Kay Anderson, Kathryn Sydell-Pilkington, Suzanne Ryanstrati, and Jeannie Hill.

Professional Performance Experience

Jamison danced professionally with Lonestar Ballet Company from 2019 through 2022. In 2021, she performed in TEXAS The Outdoor Musical as both a corps member and a featured dancer in the Folklórico section.

Expanding Her Artistry

Jamison also trained with Mark and Stephanie Lanham at The Edge. In 2022, she was accepted into the Pre-Professional Training Program at State Street Ballet in Santa Barbara, California. While in Santa Barbara, she danced with Selah Dance Collective, performing both locally and in New York. More recently, she completed three consecutive contracts as an ensemble dancer with Legacy Dinner Theater, finishing in January 2026.

Teaching at The Edge

Jamison is currently a company member with Emergence Dance Company and is excited to teach at The Edge for the 2026 season, bringing her extensive training and professional performance experience to the studio’s dancers.
