A Veteran Dance Maestro at The Edge Amarillo
Karen's remarkable journey saw her founding and operating a dance studio in the Oklahoma City area for an impressive 45 years. Under her tutelage, the studio not only became a cornerstone in the community but also a launchpad for many aspiring dancers. Her students have achieved commendable success, gracing stages across the United States, from Broadway tours to high-profile pageants like Miss Oklahoma and Miss America. Moreover, many have followed in her footsteps, earning dance degrees, teaching, and opening studios of their own.
While tap dancing has been a significant and enduring passion for Karen, her talent extends well beyond. She possesses a particular flair for choreographing musicals. Her portfolio includes classics such as "Oklahoma," "Guys and Dolls," "Annie," "Fiddler on The Roof," and "Music Man," all choreographed for the Mid-Del School District in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Now at The Edge Amarillo, Karen is excited to continue her journey, bringing her unique blend of classic technique and creative choreography to a new generation of dancers. Her enthusiasm for teaching and her vast experience make her classes a rich, educational, and inspiring experience for students.
