A Journey of Dedication and Passion for Dance
Staci Clay Hall is a dance artist, educator, choreographer, and director whose work is grounded in disciplined training, intentional pedagogy, and a commitment to cultivating meaningful artistic experiences. She began her formal dance education at an early age and came of age within the competitive dance circuit. Those experiences fostered the resilience, discipline, and commitment to excellence that continue to define her work as an educator and artistic director.
In 2007, Staci earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from the University of Central Oklahoma. While completing her degree, she taught at Karen’s Kids Studio of Performing Arts in Midwest City and performed with the Kaleidoscope Dance Company, experiences that strengthened both her artistic and instructional practice.
Following graduation, Staci founded The Edge Amarillo, now entering its nineteenth season. As Artistic Director, she leads training programs serving approximately 350 students from early childhood through pre-professional levels. Her teaching emphasizes technical excellence, injury prevention, artistry, and intentional development. Her choreography has earned numerous regional and national awards, and her students have received scholarships, national recognition, collegiate dance opportunities, and professional careers.
Committed to expanding access to dance, Staci launched Dance For All in 2026, a free community outreach performance and educational initiative that brings local artists together while making dance more accessible throughout the Texas Panhandle.
A lifelong learner, Staci continues to train with nationally recognized choreographers and educators through workshops and master classes across the country. In 2018, she joined the West Texas A&M University dance faculty as an adjunct Jazz instructor. She has also served as a guest choreographer for the Department of Dance, with her work selected for performance at the American College Dance Association (ACDA) Conference, where she was also invited to teach. Additionally, she served as the Interim Dance Instructor for the Amarillo High School Sandie Steppers for two seasons.
In 2022, Staci co-founded Emergence Dance Company alongside Kaylyn Brown to expand professional contemporary dance opportunities in the Texas Panhandle through original works and artistic collaboration.
Staci is also the founder and owner of Danceology, a regional dance competition launching its inaugural season in 2027. Built around education, professionalism, and artistic excellence, Danceology reflects her commitment to creating an exceptional experience for dancers, teachers, and studios.
Whether mentoring young dancers, creating new choreography, or developing opportunities for the broader dance community, Staci remains dedicated to advancing the art of dance and enriching the cultural landscape of the Texas Panhandle and beyond.
